It's been a while since I bought a new Spydie, so I decided to find one(or two:)) at the gun show today.

I wish that I had more $$$ with me because a dealer there had $15 off of any Spydie in his inventory! I picked up a FRN Delica PE and a FRN Endura CE(both VG-10) for only $57!!! :D

He had many others that left me with my mouth watering, but I only had limited funds. :( Oh well, I did get his website/email addy and he told me he'd give me a heck of a deal on any Spydies that I'd be interested in.

I plan on starting up my Spydie collecting again....as soon as I save up some more cash. ;)

This great guy is a Spydie dealer from Victoria, TX. He's got a website, but it's not completely setup yet. He gave me his personal email addy, and once I check with him about it, I'll give it to anyone that's interested(via email).

Doesn't really have that much of an inventory, but he can get/order just about anything that you may be looking for, including new model Spydies straight from the factory. On hand, he had a good little variety though....just about everything from a Jesters and Ladybugs to Impalas, Wegners, and Civilians.

Hi Mario,

Glad to hear you've got a couple of new beauties to admire and use. I myself have just been thinking about perhaps acquiring an S30V Military or S/S Cricket; or both! The virus lays dormant for awhile, then returns with renewed strength, doesn't it seem?

Be well my friend, and enjoy those new Spydies - Jeff/1911.

I'm glad that I was able to get some good deals on these Spydies, and I had been wanting to pick up a PE Delica for some time now. Looks like my timing was right...;)

I highly recommend that you pick up a S30V Millie AND a SS Cricket!! I intend on getting a new Millie pretty soon, and as for the SS Cricket...I already have one in PE with another in SE on the way to me from Mike at Warranty and Repair.

BTW, I hadn't checked my Delica a little closer until I was cleaning it up last night. Turns out that it's ATS-55, and not VG-10 :o, but I can live with that....:D

I don't think you made out badly, getting an ATS-55 Delica. Some comments I've heard suggest that in one way they are superior to the newer VG-10 models. I don't think most people would suggest the steel is quite as desirable as VG-10, but the old hollow grind (as opposed to the newer flat saber grind) is said to yield a thinner, more potentially sharp edge.

I guess the thing to do now is to get a new version too, and compare them - then write up a comprehensive, detailed report for us all to enjoy. Hmmmmm? What do you say?

Jeff.;)

Today I received a plain edge Native III from a trade...I REALLY like this knife!.:).

Jeff, this Delica does have a SCARY sharp edge on it, so sharp that I thought it was VG10. Who knows, maybe I will pick up a PE in VG10 sometime. I had one awhile back, but it had the full SpyderEdge on it so I can't really compare the PE to the SE.

"write up a comprehensive, detailed report"??? Wish that I had the time.....LOL

glockman, looks like you got a cool Spydie in that trade. Let me know what you think about it, that's IF you give it some pocket carry along with your Al Mar SERE. ;)

Tohatchi, I'm still waiting on a reply from that guy. I guess that he's busy and will return my email once he has some time.
