The 101st. Infantry Division out of Saluda, South Carolina, comes home today from Iraq. My good buddy, Billy Baldwin from the little town of Gaston is among these very brave men that spent a year and 6 months in this tour of duty. You made it Billy. His father died of cancer 4 years ago and I hope in spirit his dad will be with him on that bus from Georgia to South Carolina and on to meet his mother and wife at the Saluda High School gym. Whoever thought this quiet, laidback little country boy would go to war. Welcome home to American soil again, my friend. :)

Brass band, flowers strewn in their path....

Home at last, home at last, thank you dear God !

An old trooper salutes them all.

I'm glad you made it back. We need you here, too. :)

Thanks for taking on a tough job for all of us.

Awesome, Welcome home and thank him from our family for all that he has done!

Welcome home 101. They were replaced in the rotation by my son's unit, the 25th Infantry Division, Tropic Lightning.

Like it says on the Army Crest - "This We'll Defend"
