The Tactical Tusker. I'm getting more involved with the the military/SF community and wanted (with the help of a couple of buddies) to come up with a knife directed toward this area. I will post here when I get one made up.

Did the thing we talked about in February go through?

This will be the standard design, only it will have a 1" finger cut out instead of the 1 1/2" I normally do. No choil. The standard size will be 10 1/4" overall with a 5 1/4" blade, 3/16" thick by 1 1/2" wide, A2 steel. I plan on having these waterjet cut. The blade will be subdued/darkened with ferric acid. Micarta scales, 3/8" each side, contoured, with a Spec Ops Combat Master sheath.

I'm confused, I thought your tusker was the 8" chopper. Still want to see the end result though.

Scott - What is the diff between a cutout and choil?

The finger cut out is on the handle. The choil is a finger cut out on the blade.
Here's an example of a Tusker with a finger choil.
