Tomorrow I'll be showing another new one, the Mud Turtle. (I'll explain the reason for its name then).

The story behind the name.

Legend has it that the Potawatomi Indians were attracted to the area which is now Mokena, (my hometown for 60 years), because of a large slough full of fish and turtles. They lived in the area for several years until a draught came that dried up the slough, turning it into a large mud hole, with only the turtles remaining alive. They called the area Mud Turtle, which supposedly in English translates to Mokena. True story? I don`t know but it sounds better than calling it Mud Hole.

The Mud Turtle

Specs:

9 7/8" overall
5" blade
1/8" thick x 1 1/4" tall O1 steel
Heat treat texturing on flats

$200 plus $8 shipping with leather sheath
$180 plus $8 shipping with no sheath

This one has contoured black canvas micarta handles with hollow aluminum pins
