I haven't spend much time in the Busse forum lately but I try to see what latest and greatest knives are being made in Wauseon! During my fly by tonight, I just saw this thread thanking mikeymoto for keeping the Bad MOJO site updated and while surfing the bounty of Busse info there, the date of the HOG ASH announcement from Jerry caught my eye.....December 1, 2007!
I can't believe it will be 10 years since that deal went down....I consider myself blessed to have been able to be a part of it! It is my favorite ALL-TIME fixed blade.
So I pulled my HOG ASH out of my go-bag and cleaned it up a little and wanted to share a couple of pics! Thanks for making some ROCKING knives Busse Combat! love that Tigerhide :)

The HOG ASH is the same as the ASH1 CG, which is 12" OAL, 6.5" blade, 5.5" handle & .32" thick at the spine. The HOG ASH was a very special offering of just one per inducted HOG and were all muddy coated with Tigerhide linen micarta Magnum handles, which was not a combo offered as just a ASH1 CG. Each was inscribed with the HOG's inducted name.

Drink alot of Pabst Blue ribbon, eat alot of cheetos and sit around in your lazyboy watching duck dynasty in your mossy oak camo's and crocs. Is the fastest way.

The more expensive option is horde infi and fine sipping whiskey

That's awesome! I wish that there were still offerings like this for inducted HOGs.

I needed $ and sold mine, now I can't find it again :/
CSI Hog was on mine.

Probably a cancelled order that hadn't been handled yet, one that was to be DCBB, which was an upgrade option on CG ASH-1's. Heck, no need to rough up the surface for the HOGASH muddy coating, it's already ready already. :)

Aww ok I see now that would make since. Lol yeh wouldn't that be a nice surprise really though? Instead of grinder marks you see DCBB underneath lol.

Would love to see another offer like that, be offered up to the Hogs. Only have a BIG finish ASH. Someday I WILL HAVE a Skinny Ash.
Jerry, l just know you are going to do a optimized ASH, thick and thin, satin and Combat version soon. So a good anniversary, blast from the past, do another deal like this for your faithful Hogs. I can see it now. My ASH with Hooker Hog etched on it!
