I figure next week the HI forum will pass thru 25,000 posts. Never thought it would happen but here it is.

Good forumites make a good forum. Thanks to all for making the HI forum what it is!

But it's like the fellow reminded us -- if it wasn't for the safety post about getting a khukuri out of a scabbard without slicing your fingers off we would have only 7 posts.

Open HI Forum 6227 posts

Current total 24469 posts
Needed to make 25K 531 posts

Open Forum post # 6758 = 25,000 posts.

 
Also, the safety thread should only count for 365 ( or 366 ) posts a year. Some of us get overenthusiastic sometimes, so call it 500 max a year which would take 50 years to add up to 25,000 posts.
 
Yeah, but sometimes it feels like we've been here fifty years, right? Uncle bill, what was your record of days you were on this forum without a break? It was over a year, I remember...

Tom, I think it was more than 600 days straight without a day away from the screen.

I can't remember who made the joke about the safety post but I thought it was funny and worth repeating. Who made that observation, anyway!

Remember, your can click on the maker's/ manufacturer's forums page and the numbers are listed, both open and archive.

Looks like Harry and Berk may have figured my sig line out.

Those to be hanged were hauled from gaol to the gallows on a wagon. Sometimes they were allowed to get off partway at the pub and say goodbye, and drink a last round or two. Then when someone would try to buy another, the guards would respond "no more", that it was time he was on the wagon and off to be the guest of honor at his own hanging.

Just checked, and the count was at 6656 ( plus this one ) =6657
