Commander '98 vs '00 What is the deal? FUBAR

I have had my Commander for years now
(original owner '98) based upon my Commander
I told A pal of mine to buy one as it is
the best pocket knife I have ever owned
etc... Well I feel like an ass now as my
buddies 2000 Commander SUCKS!!! the liner lock comes close to letting the blade fold
under SLIGHT pressure READ:UNACCEPTABLE!
I almost lost a digit because of this before
(not Emerson)We dont have time to waste waiting for A new one from the factory this
should have never left the factory! any input on this would be nice.
 
Dude,

Send it to Emerson and they will have it back to you in NOTIME at all. Their Customer services is the best I have seen and they will not make excuses... eith repair or replace. My 2000 Commander is fantastic. Like the extra detent and LOVE the new blade design that improves the thrusting ability of the knife. Couldn't be happier.
