I fiddled with the set-up on my new Commander and couldn't get it to my liking. I ended up making a new stop pin out of a 4mm drill bit base, filed the ends down to 1/8th inch and shaped the pin in an oval shape, similar to the pivot pins used by Spyderco. It is a very close fit, you need to be careful to allow enough room for the blade to clear it on opening and closing.
It works fine and I'm very happy with it now, It locks up TIGHT on the near side with no play in any direction. My stop pin is 1mm thicker than the Emerson pin - a big difference when you take into account the tight tolerances needed on a liner lock.
