I just bought a new Commander and it appears the liner lock is barely engaging the blade.

Should/Could I fix this myself or should I return it to Emerson for repair???

Thanks in advance for the replies..

use the hell out of it...seriously, it will "set" once you use it a bit.
Just spend some time opening and closing it (practice your wave) and it will be fine.
Mine was the same way and now locks up perfect just to the left of center.
enjoy,
Cheers,
Derek

I am just a worthless liar....... I am just an Imbecile ...... I will only complicate you ..... Trust in me and fall as well .... I will find a center in you ... I will chew it up and leave .. I will work to elevate you just enough to bring you down

Normal behavior for this knife. One question....do you value your fingers?

Thanks for the responses. Needless to say I do value my fingers.

I have an older Commander and 2 of the 2000 models and this is the last one I picked up. The liner meets the blade almost at the middle on the other 2 and I was concerned when I saw this one. I carry one daily and this last one scares me to be honest.

Thanks again for the responses..
