Hi,
I have 2 Emerson knives, CQC7 tanto and spearpoints. I really like the recurve blade of the Commander, and I'm looking for one.
What is the difference between the production Commander (2002 or newer) and the limited Super Commanders out there?
Are the Supers beefier?
I read about some liner lock problems with earlier Commanders. I haven't had any problems with my CQC7s, but they were bought last year.

I like the Super Commander fits my hand better. The SC is only 1/4 of an inch longer but it is quite a bit larger and it`s cutting power is dramaticly increased. I`ve had many EKI knives since 1998 and I have never had a liner lock problem never. :D
 
How many super commanders were made? Will EK make a regular production model or will we only see TAD versions?
 
The Supers are exclusive to TAD. They have a new version coming out soon with silver G10 slabs. I own a couple dozens Emersons and have Never had a lock problem.
 
My older Mach-I has a somewhat weak liner lock. My new CQC8 lockup is quite good. Ya just gotta handle it before you buy it, or ya takes yer chances.
