Commander with Digicam blade???

A while back someone posted pics of what I thought was the Commander model with a digicam blade - but I'll be damned if I can find that post.

Does anyone know what I am talking about, or am I now at the brink of insanity??

It may be a limited production model - at the time I saw the post I visited the Emerson website and it was not listed there - it was actually on a separate website.

Help??!!

I've never seen one, but I can tell you I'd save up some money and buy one in a heartbeat if they existed *hint hint if Emerson is reading this :D*

I've seen Digi Camo on Strider blades, but I don't recall it on Emersons.

Thats probably one of the prototypes from the EOTAC collaboration. As far as I know there was a commander, socfk and "cobra 10" prototype for testing the new ATACS camo pattern.

Here's a pic of the current eotac folder, because you can't have a good thread without pics ;)

I never noticed the end knife they came up with has a very roadhouse like handle.

They started selling them in June or July and I swiped my the night they were selling... needless to say I didn't get the one I want as it was an almost instant sellout O.O. But I'm sure someone on here has one and will be willing to part with it.

Heres some of mine on a shakedown:

So I just popped this bad boy open a few hours ago and shot some pics of the unboxing over in the Emerson section HERE. It's a beautiful knife and has fantastic ergos. the blade design is wicked and came out of the box razor sharp. I thought, since there are a lot of questions about the blade and the new coating and all that I'd do a little sampo (Japanese for "stroll") test and see how the design holds up out in the world. I also took a few shots to show the camo against common objects and / or environments. The area I went for a stroll in is a nice mix of urban, foliage (parks, natural wooded areas), and riverine (rivers and streams everywhere). I basically just went for a walk along a route I like to take on nice days and used the shit out of the knife to see how it would hold up! Here's the pics:

In pocket. You'll notice this blends nicely with just OD pants. it sticks out a bit on khaki/tan/coyote stuff, but it's pretty good at blending into jeans, surprisingly!

Awesome pics, how did the coating hold up to all that use?

Awesome pics and an even awesomer emerson. Is that even a word. :D Thanks for the pics.

Great pics, Brownmajik, thanks for sharing! And, congrats on the knife.

Looks like a greater opportunity to lose the knife if it's inadvertently dropped or set down somewhere.

Damn - thanx for the pics. I'm sorry I missed out on that one.

It seems like they went fast.

Anyone know if there will be a round 2 of production?

A little orange 550 cord as a lanyard and you are good to go - I have a spool of it, and I put it on any knife I take into the bush!! Spot it from 100 feet away.

Most folks who got them (like me) waited forever to get 'em and chances are, they'll probably hang on to them. I inquired with Josh
at Eotac on the EOG-1-ATA-PE series and was told they had no plans of a second run. :grumpy: There was someone on the "bay" awhile back who had all four versions of this blade for sale, seems like I remember them going fairly quick.
