Commander's lock

just recieved my first emerson folder ever :)

the blade is scary sharp, the handle is super comdortable to hold, its a great knife and i am plaing on getting a second one already :)

however i have one question about the line lock, on my commander only 2/3 of the liner lock actually locks to the blade, there are no bladeplay but i am just curious is this common?

It only takes a week or two to wear that much? What about in a year?
Not knocking anything, just something I had always noticed about liner locks.
 
there are small burrs on the blade and liner that need time to wear. the action will also smooth as the bushings and pivot wear.

i have several emerson's, and this has always been the case. i have never had a liner fail either.
