I added the link this time....sheese !!


In this months issue of World War 2 there is an article on Commando knives of the British....Nice article with the Sykes-Fairborne knife in detail and the Death Timetable spelled out in detail. Also how the Germans actiually were in fear of it and how they used their rifles as defense for the knife.

Lots of little tidbits like how some commandos blunted the end of the knife cuz it was so sharp it stuck in the rib bone.....If I'm in the wrong forum please move it.....Just thought it was interesting...even had diagrams .:cool:....Gee..It would help to put the link in Huh??...Ya Think?

Will be taking a real-hard second close look at it at the newsstand. Can't be too hard locating that particular issue what with that superbly huge cover of Dug out Doug.
 
That's just BS to me !! The knife actually had the reputation for breaking off the fragile tip !! [like when you hit a rib ! ] That's why it's been called a "light duty combat knife " [talk about a oxymoron !!! ]
