I've had a bowie style Maxx for a few months now. The blade is perfectly centered, closes delicately, moves smoothly, locks open like a vault with no play whatsoever. It also manages to ride in my pocket all day without bothering me. At the same time the handle design fits the hand in such a way that the knife can be manipulated comfortably and precisely when open. I've heard complaints about the laser cut lines but for such a great price, I'd rather have excellent materials and fit and smooth out the marks myself. For the price and as a production knife in general, the Maxx is great. I would not change a thing about it.

Since I liked the Maxx so much, when I needed a 3" blade I went with the D2 EDC from A.G. Russell. I really like these D2 blades. The EDC has nice little touches that really made me love it. The holes in the clip corresponding with the holes in the handles is probably my favorite aspect. Also the grooves on top where your thumb rests when its open. It fits the hand very well for being so small. And its really just a very beautiful, artistically balanced knife. The fit and finish is excellent, the frame lock works just as well as that of the Maxx with NO blade play whatsoever.. I'm very pleased with it. I thought, before I got it, that I would want Ti handles, but now that I've handled it I'm happy with the steel so long as it doesn't rust.

Thanks Mr.Ralph and Camillus for two great knives!!! I'll be looking forward to your future offerings.
