Anyone have one of these? Is it a good EDC?

And what are the pros and cons of this model?

Many thanks for your insights; much appreciated here.

Refined enough to be considered a dress knife and large enough to dress an elk. Kind of hard to beat, if you ask me.

There's a subtle distinction to that characterization.....

While one would be likely to CHOOSE a 501 for a dress knife, one would not be likely to CHOOSE it to dress an elk......just as one would not be likely to CHOOSE a 120 for a dress knifes (well, not in our current culture, anyhow).

;)

I use mine when me & the miss's go out to dine. I hate restaurant steak knives. It's great for use around sheeple. Large enough and tough enough to deal with many tasks, yet small enough to not draw attention.

Lol that's what I was thinking. Anyway I love my 501& 503. Great knifes. Depending on what you want/need in a EDC decides if their suitable EDCs. I don't EDC them cause I'm afraid I'll mess em up or worse lose em. But the 501 is a solid knife. Its not what I reach for to FD my deer but it'll do it if it was all I had.
