Hi guys,

First post to this forum. I've been interested in picking up an inexpensive custom as a first foray into the custom arena, and ran across these makers at Bladeart. Has a local tie-in for me, as well, as I am currently living in the state of South Carolina...

Anybody own a knife by this shop? What do you think of the knives? What style of knife do they typically make?

Also, if anybody has contact info, that would be much appreciated...

Thanks,

Matthew

While I can't help you with your quest for information I would like to comment that these knives have caught my interest since Larry added them to his lineup.

They also appear to be very reasonably priced. He's recently added 2 of them to his Clearance section for around $50.

For that price you can hardly go wrong unless they're not heat treated ;)

If you do pick one up please let me know what you think.

Have never had the opportunity to try one of these knives, but the Southern Lady in stag with a mirror finished blade, and the Rascal with black horn handle look very nice for the money being charged for them.

Webb and Fisher produce a nice knife for the money. I had one of their upswept skinners and it was a very nice knife. It was used to skin a few deer over the past few years. I no longer have the knife, I gave it to my Dad. You will have a difficult time finding a better knife for the price. I recommend them.

You should also check out D.Manley knives from Central SC. Another great knife for the price. Both of these makers have been at the past couple BLADE shows. D.Manley usually has a table at the Greenville area Gun & Knife shows. He was at the Greenville show a few weeks ago.

Hope this helps with your decision.
