any comments or info or reviews on the Yari and Guardian would be appreciated, thinking the Yari would be a good EDC for defense and the Guardian is kinda cool, maybe for the left hand....

thanks in advance !!

I have two Guardians, and the size of the knives is pretty close to Fällkniven's G1 Garm Fighter, both being black coated.
The sheath for the Guardian lets you adjust the tension required to release the knife, and it has a moveable clip, which allows for upside-down carry. The sheath is noisy though, and if I'd have to choose between G1 and the Guardian, the G1 would win.
It has a neck kydex sheath, but Fällkniven has just released a belt loop device for the sheath. The G1 has VG-10 steel. I love my G1.

Joebe, If you do a search on my webname and "yari" you'll find a few threads here on BFC, including one that has Sergiuz's fine write-up of the Yari. IMHO it makes a fine EDC for self-defense, especially at its price. The sheath is the downside of the Yari, as noted in the review threads. But a Blade-Tech TekLok or Pull-Dot strap fixes that easily. ;)

I think you can get the Yari for approx. $65 from wholesalehunter.com

Looks really good for the price.

when i saw them for $95 i wasn't to interested, but when you get down to $65 then it's looking good, i was carrying a Kobun but didn't like the rubber handle and tanto shape, the Yari blade shape and micarta would probably be ideal. i'm thinking the Yari for SD and a BM Ascent
for public use.
