Hello Everyone! I'm relatively new to BF. I've been reading threads for a while, and have learned a lot from it. This is my first post.
I've been working on my own knives for about 4 months now, and this is the second knife that I have forged. I was hoping that you guys could offer your opinions.
The blade is forged from a railroad spike (prior to me reading up adequately on steel selection), so it is around 1060 if I'm not mistaken. The bolsters are 416 stainless and the handle is made from macadamia nut wood. The sheath is made from 10oz shoulder dyed and inlaid with Honduran boa snakeskin (my second sheath as well).
Please let me know what you think! Even harsh opinions will be taken in the light of critique.
- I was not able to post in the knife makers forum, so if this needs to be moved I understand and appreciate the help.
