I finally got the Commerative Worker from cpirtle, and I must say, it's telling me to carry it. Even though the design may be 20+ plus years ago, it's still a very ergo knife. It also drops when you release the lock, unlike most of my spydies, where I'd work on it a bit before the blade would drop by its weight after I unlocked it.
Very nicely done. I'm still trying to resist the temptation of using it. (I don't want to put scratches on the blade/handle)

It's a great knife, isn't it! As you hold the knife, it's amazing to think the great leap forward in pocketknife technology the Worker was when it came out. I can only imagine the weird looks it got back in '81.

I had never owned a Worker but always wanted one. When I saw the Commemorative model for a good price I bought two, one to save and one to carry. I have been carrying it for about two weeks now clipped to my right front pocket and haven't gotten any scratches on it yet but I am careful when I put my keys in my pocket. My blade doesn't drop free but requires a downward flick to start it closing. I love the feeling of the handle and the pointy tip.

I like the false edge on the top. The blade shape looks odd but it's still a good utility blade, and It's still Spyderco sharp out of the box ;)
