Commissioning a kydex sheath for my production Benchmade

I'd like to commission a kydex sheath for an older model (440C) Benchmade River Rescue I bought recently. It only has the option for vertical carry, and is designed to be affixed to gear. Benchmade told me that I could substitute a Nimravus Cub sheath for it, but I figure this knife deserves a little better. I'd like to get a molded kydex sheath for it, and would like to know who to go to. I've done a little research, and have emailed several online dealers for price quotes, but haven't received any replies.

Normark here on the forums makes kydex sheaths and has a company called On-Scene Tactical. His sheaths are simply amazing and are extreemly affordable. http://www.mnsi.net/~nbtnoel/ Give him a chance to make a sheath for you and you will be happy.

Normark, David Brown, Mike Sastre I have sheaths by each of these guys and they are excellent and there are a ton of other kydex benders around.

Hope i'm not going off topic... i have also been trying to get ahold of normark to see if i can get a sheath made... i tried emailing both addresses on the web page. If you see this could you email me songer@paradoxical.net.

Another vote Here for Normark!,
Eric has been doing my kydex/concealex for a long time, I have never seen better work than his.

P.s

Eric's usually quite busy and its Hunting season up here so he could be out chasing the whitetails...be patient Im sure he will get back to you.

Regards

Normark does great work. He does take a bit of time to answer emails, but his work is awesome!

Yeah, Normark takes a few days to get to his mail, but he is 100% trusworthy. Stay away from River City (Sastre). I gave him a balisong last year at a knife show and paid him up front for the sheath. It took him 6 months and a call to another maker to get him to make the sheath and send it back. Just be ware. Oh, and I think (his name on here is either Leatherman or Armoraleather) is a great sheath maker too. I just don't know if that is the right way to spell his BFC name. His real name is Dwyane. Great guy.

Just took delivery on Normark sheath #'s 3 & 4.
Excellent work, as usual.

That would be Mr Dwayne Puckett aka Leatherman on BFC. He is a talented leather bender and a great guy! But kydex was the original request, so Dwayne may not be your best bet.

For kydex, check out the work and reputation here on BFC of Brian Wagner, the man behind Okuden Kydex. IIRC he doesn't do taco-wrap sheaths like Normark does. But the fit 'n finish of his kydex sheaths is top-drawer all the way. He is obsessive about it. While his website may not be the best, IMHO his sheaths are.

I have a sheath from Mike at River City for a Lum Spyderco Tanto. He did a great job on the sheath and getting me what I want. It DID take a good while to get it, as it was during show season, but the work is top notch.
