Continued .... ... Dream Yat-day Arab-Israeli goods. "Uz ingot" Ye.

The II.
As a result of the first ..... saying "Uz steel egg" has failed. [Foreign hereinafter referred to as "egg Uz"]
I told customers that ....
Another one it had to retain the status quo of the finishing.
Pickling lines and then make a good collection.

This would have thought that over.
Later customers find information on the characteristics of it.
[Posted in the last. Hypothermia forging information]
But the production is sent abroad, it was said that the failure of

It does not matter, he said give him to do so now!
When experience is required.

Well want to say. Hypothermia on the low-temperature forging forging.

Give him a hard hard.
Hammer turtle afraid of. "Uz steel," why be afraid of a hydraulic hammer.
Therefore, on the choice of a rainy weather forging. [It rains you just the other day]
So less heat.
But really .... the hard xx ah.
During the day and night from a hit.

http://www.knifenut.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1404

I wonder what momo sees in that blob of metal? I'd give anything to tag along and bother him while he makes this whatever it is.

I have seen balls like this I think it is tumbler medium used to turn rock into powder.

Continue.

"Elongation"

After a dozen times over the hydraulic pressure machine twist.
Finally had some prototype.
But also the success of Jerusalem. [There is no crack]
But a further effort to pressure oil press twist.
[Useful manual intermediate pressure forging twist. It can be hard. Knock knock are fixed]
The continued pressure of a long drawn-twist. The more severe the more difficult to draw closer to a long thin.

"Forge-type knife."

Pressure to finally ... I have to thin the degrees.
But the hard starts. Hand-forged knife type.
Hand-forged steel Uz people are really tired of things.
Forge is really really feel. Very. Very. ..... Very hard.
Hammer seems to be a direct hit in the "Iron spy" on the feeling.
And only a little bit of depression.
Also thought to produce easy here.
"Re-hard" also deserves some support
Produced here ... prepared drink of ice water left 5 / 1 a.
[Fortunately, this. Otherwise, I really will heat stroke]

MOMO is my favorite poster on BF, by far. There is something often gained in the translation! GREAT STUFF MOMO!

Thank you for the post momo! Like some of the other guys here, I always enjoy seeing your work and the strange translations.

I've asked a friend to translate your post for me.
Cheers,
Dave

They mystery remains. Reply from Ugo the dog:
"Dear Dave, this is not an area my mistress is versed in. I've tried to help her out here.

It's about making a knife out of a steel ingot. Damascus steel (is that the same steel that makes the submachine guns Uzi? It could be, since it's called "a Uzi ball".

It would seem to be a very hard thing to do that few people succeed in doing.
But that person succeeded by forging it at a very low temperature. And on days where it rains (don't ask me why, except for the forger's comfort). You take it in and out of the kiln many times.

Then It's put under an hydraulic press some ten times to gradually elongate it. There is also some forging by hand to give it its final appearance. The final result is without cracks and only a little sunken.

The person who did this almost had a heat stroke...

BTW, that type of automatic translation is what you get on Google, next to a web site address: it says "translate this page". Just try it.
I did it recently for a Chinese site on the Pekingese dog which was translated as the "antiquata dog". Why, I have no clue. You will also notice that those translations always sound as if what you're trying to read has something to do with kinky sex... The emperor's court was translated as "intrauterine".

SEe you one of these days,
Ugo the beachbum (they took me on holidays to Oregon)

Thank you for your translation.
I know that the Internet is really the translation can not read it.

But picture is that we understand the language.

"We understand the language"

absolutely right. Thanks for the pictures, It's going to be a great finish!

Knife-type. Flank grinding.

After "annealing" process. The next day after cooling.
I will knife embryos removed from the oven.
Statements in the computer paper and then draw the knife-type. And design.
And then drill a hole grinding aids.
Drill holes in the process of drilling is not difficult to find.
Is almost the feeling of steel boring.
Forge did not like it as difficult to deal with.
Steel ah really strange.

Appearance of a knife cut. And then removed on both sides.
At this time the feeling. Just like the feeling of the production of carbon steel.
Only slightly more than than the number of carbon steel hardware.

Grinding and then rough flank. Fine.
Awaiting the final heat treatment.

Find it very surprising thing.
Such a small a small iron ball.
Was also drawn to such a long long.
About 20 several centimeter.

Very unique designs and excellent craftsmanship!! Good work as always, it'll be interesting to see the finished knife.

Continue.

Design. Heat. Flank processing.

After a good knife grinder. I began to design and prepare painting materials.
Thinking for a long time decided to use these materials.
Preparation of this material.
303. Black pads. Copper gasket. Camel bone. Stainless steel nails. Tube.

The key then is to "heat" of the.
On the literature.
Before heat treatment is similar to 'modern' treatment by the "quenching oil"
So I used "quenching oil" in oil quenching.
[They said that because of the high carbon content not suitable for "water quenching"]

But in my opinion is wrong.
That is to say. Ancient "Uz steel" are soft about HRc 40 ~ 50 a few.
I think this kind of hardness.
Should be done long before the war are using.
So soft to use to increase the hardness of that toughness.

I actually produced.
After oil quenching tempering heat treatment.
I take a known hardness' D2'HRC60
And 'Uz steel' blade scraping each other. Did not expect 'D2', should be a scratch.
Can be seen 'Uz steel' should have more than HRC60.

Then I finished the test on the 'flank to deal with'.
The more detailed re-grinding. And electrical printed LOGO.
This steel is difficult etching 〔〕
