Some of you may remember my snide remark from my old attitude about modern era Schrades, and my remorse at selling off cheap, some minty old Old Timers, and a couple of UHs. Well one of them hid in the corner of a little cardboard box, and I found it today!! It was such a treat to find this little guy; I'll never insult Schrades again!
So here's a little peanut, which was never used, languished a long time in the back of a store shelf, then a cardboard box, now proudly headed for a display with some of its brethren!!
Reminds me of Lassie making it home!!
Sniff!;)

Yes, I had quite a few schrades that I sold off over the years. Many old imperial jacks with celluloid, many old schrade with bone handles. Particulary the 80's schrade heritage green bone series. The old Indian series lockbacks with the nice beaded sheaths. But, who coudl know things turned out like they did? Schrade had been a household name and I always had thought, whatever I sold, I could find another easily enough, and at the time you could!

I found one of these still on the shelf at a Sears Store in Austin Texas about eight months ago, and it was marked down to $ 6.00.
Yesterday, saw one in an Ace Hardware store marked for $ 20.00.
Glad I bought the $ 6.00 model.
