(I checked out the above link and it works for me.)

He posted his piece on 9/14, it's still be up.

I think I'll let him know that I'm proud of him for shooting off him mouth - and putting every shot into a nice tight group. If you want to do the same go to Community Forum, look for his name at the top under moderator, and clicking on his name should get you his email. Wanted to get this up, then will come back and give his email later.
(That is still the easiest way to post an email to him, but if you want to do it the hard way, try jmarch@prodigy.net)

Jim has a way of saying the right thing at the right time and saying it well. He's a no BS kind of guy.

Jim is also one who fights for what he believes in and a person that many of us could take lessons from.

And my favorite's file is gradually filling up with more excellent websites thanks to all of the great people on bladeforums.:)

Thanks Rusty.

Well spoken words, and ones that need to be heard.

I am ashamed to admit that it was hard the first few days to not get a little nervous when I would see a "middle eastern looking" man enter a store or on the street. This of course was a gut reaction, not a reasoned response. I did not show any outward signs of my feelings to those around me. I really hated that I felt those feelings, because I pride myself on not judging anyone based on race, religion etc...

I hope no one thinks less of me because of this. I think its important to be honest about these feelings, and to get them to the surface, think about them, and learn from them. I of course have gotten over my initial reaction/fear by now and if anything I will go out of my way to show extra courtesy to anyone of "middle eastern descent" which I realize is a ridiculus category in the first place...But I think you know what I mean.

It shames us to no end, that there are those that would actually act out thier fears by means of physical and verbal abuse against these innocent AMERICANS! Don't let Osama Bin Laden and those of similiar evil mind turn us into hating, bigoted fools!

Thanks.

With all that Jim is doing for the right of people in California to carry, it shames me to admit I haven't gotten mine. In a "shall issue" CCW state, yet.

I've got the papers for the local sheriff, two postal money orders to the sheriff and the DMV ( for background checks and fingerprints ), but I've put off getting the training certification for months now because it involves a 264+ mile round trip, about a hundred bucks fees, and a full day in training which means two nights in a motel. At summer weekend tourist rates, and with meals, $230-250 bucks total.

Classes have dropped off outside Reno due to their use of outdoor ranges. Too hot.

SOON! Jim has reminded me of the mountain our neighbors go though to just try to get a license that's readily available to me for a really insignificant hassle.

And Thanks, Jim.

I got my CCP as soon as the current Sherriff made it possible! A couple years back my wife and I filled out the paperwork and paid $130.00 each in fees and waited the full 90 days for a "thorough" FBI background check! Now we pack and she has already had to use her gun in self defence. Thank God she had it!!

Chris, please understand that just because I don't "carry" doesn't mean one ain't purty close. :D

During the Rodney King Riots I drove to work with my Thompson and eight loaded 30 round clips behind the truck seat, but afterwards replaced it with my usual model 81 Remington in 35 Remington with 15 round clip. Figured them 200 grain slugs had a better chance of taking out a Continental or Lycoming engine when I was hell and gone out in the middle of the res.

(Yes this is malarkey - but don't forget that the wilder my story, the more likely I'm telling the gospel truth in such a way nobody believes it for a minute.)
