Recommendation? Compact S&W 40

I've been eyeing the Ruger SR40c of late. Found a pretty good deal on one at a store just a few miles from me, but before I pull the trigger I figured I'd hop on here and see if any of you know of something similar that would be a better option.

I've owned and fired lots of smallish guns aimed at the CCW market, but not this one. I wouldn't hesitate to grab one of these, though. My experience with Ruger has been positive, and you might be able to score a used one for a good price since 9mm seems to be the favorite again. Others you might want to look at or consider are the G27 or G23, compact XDs, and compact S&W M&Ps off the top of my head. I've owned an example of each and they were all trouble free.

I’ve never shot the SR40 but my dad has a SR9C and it’s nice. The trigger’s no PPQ or VP9 trigger but it’s not bad. It goes bang every time and is fairly accurate. That size firearm isn’t my cup of tea but if I found one at a good price I’d have a hard time passing it up.

Only thing I have experience with the SR22 I like it. If Glock ever makes a 22 in that size I will replace the Ruger with a that . I have moved to Glock for all my center fire handguns
