I am a fan of Maxpedition gear. I really like the smaller pouch type items, small packs, etc.

Do any of you know of other companies that make a similar line of products?

Thanks

Condor Outdoor and Fox Outdoor/Tactical make a range of Molle-based pouches and packs.

I would take just about any pack over a TADgear pack. The two FASTpacks that I bought were a joke (as was their CS) and literally fell to bits in about a year. Having spent the money for a Kifaru pack I have never looked back.

Maxpedition is pretty unique in the products and variety they make, but TAD gear makes some very nice and quality driven packs and pouches.

511 tactical also makes some nice gear, but from my experience its not as durable as maxpedition.

Blackhawk makes some nice gear pouches. They have their standard made in Korea line and a made in the USA line.

I like Hazard 4. They don't have nearly as many products as Maxpedition but they do offer some neat stuff with unique features. On top of that they have some products that offer a great deal of modularity without being quite as overtly tactical as other brands.

I carry a NiteIze pouch with a Leatherman Supertool 300, AA Maglite with Bust-a-Cap and LED, Spyderco Rescue, CountyComm Micro Widgy pry bar, Sharpie, and Fisher Space Pen. I've gone through several of these over the years. They're now made in China, and I'd like to find something similar that's US-made, or at least not Chinese. I like Maxpedition but they don't have something similar.

I used mine hard for several years and it still looked brand new when I sold it.

I only sold it because I was sick of all the added weight of PALS webbing. The KU line is the only thing remotely resembling "tactical" gear that I will buy now. Maybe the Express as well, if I need 1000D Cordura durability, though I am finding more and more that I don't. This included moving through mountain laurel and blackberry patches.
