So I want sort of a two knife scabbard thing for when I go out hiking, camping, exploring, whatever.

I have the izula, now I cant decide on its bigger brother to go with it.

4, 5, or 6? and why?

I like all three, but looking for a two knife combo, going to attach a kydex sheath for the izula to the larger knifes sheath so I can get to either one easily.

I would choose either the 4 or the 6 depending on your hand size or your length preference. Unless you need the half inch thick beast the 4 or the 6 should do fine.

The 4 might be a tad small for the 2 knife scabbard thing...really good knife though.

In your case I'd opt for the 5 or 6. I own both and like the 5 better, but that's me.

Because of the lighter weight of the 6, I would go with the 6! Plus I own one and the blade and sheath seem to be askin for more. 5s are a bit heavy IMO. But you can't go wrong with either. Their ESEEs:D enjoy edgy

I have the Izula and ESEE-4. I carry them both when I hike with the Izula as a neck knife. I've been thinking about getting a 6 but can't seem to justify the reason for having a knife bigger than the 4 for hiking.

If I did more camping I'd probably want the ESEE 5 or 6.

I've actually been thinking about this myself...

I have an Izula and ESEE-4, the 4 is a good mid-sized all around knife but as such I find it a little too close in blade length to the Izula to justify carrying both. With the 6 you'd have the capabilities of a larger knife but still have the Izula for all the finer work. The 5 seems a little too thick and heavy for it's size so I don't really see a role for it but if that's what you want or need then by all means go for it.

I say go for the 6 but I'm sure you'll be happy with any of them.

I would look at the 5 or the 6.

The 4 is an excellent knife. If I only want to carry one knife, it's the 4 almost every time.

For a two knife system, with the Izula being one of them, I think the 4 is too small.

I would recommend the 6. I absolutely love this knife. A piggybacking an Izula on the 6

would be an excellent system.

The 5 would also work, I just think it's overbuilt for common woods tasks. This is simply

my opinion however.

Love my 4 and usually take my Izzy along with it. But if your thinking of a piggyback kinda setup I would probably go with the 6. I think of the 4 more as a compromise between the two. I see a Junglas in my future and will try a piggyback rig with an Izula with that. Even though I still will opt for just the 4 most of the time on my short hikes with my son.

if you only want to carry 1 blade, the 4 or the 6 can do it all.
if you're going for a 2 blade setup, the izzy is too close in size to the 4 to gain much advantage.
izzy/6 or 3/6 is a good pairing for belt carry.

4 & Junglas is a good combo - especially with the new (longer) scales on the horizon.

What he said! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

What he said he said :D
Junglas can do everything. It just feels so good in your hand. The Izula will cover all the small stuff. But if the Junglas is to big I would get a 6
