Guys/Gals,

I'm looking for a companion for my Adamas 275(tan scales). I usually carry two knives for some unknown reason, and usually like to carry one large, and one smaller but of similar design so I thought I'd see what ya'll thought would be a good companion for the Adamas.

I was thinking maybe the Kershaw Skyline with the brown scales, but can't seem to find any during my search at the dealer's websites that I usually use. So, are there any other suggestions? Keep in mind that I'd like to stick with the black blade/tan scale theme, and would like it to be slightly smaller than the Adamas. Maybe around the size of the Skyline, but no smaller.

I have been on an old school kick lately so take this suggestion with a grain of salt....how about a carbon slip joint with a brown wood or stag handle then run a black patina (vinegar) on her?

I would carry a slipjoint, which you can pick up at flea markets (half the fun) and then clean up, sharpen, etc. (the other half). An Adamas is a scary knife, it even scares me a little. A traditional would not scare people very much at all.

Cheers,
Connor

I usually carry mne with a victorious farmer model sak. The sak gets the sheeple friendly use. I generally carry my Contego or my zt0301 as well.

The Skyline is a great choice dude! If you can find a tan one grab it. I usually see a few on eBay so give that a try.

It's too bad youre secondary has to be tan cause it really limits you're choices but I understand why you want it that way.

Check out the tan Ontario rat 1 and a brown delica.

I have been BM275 crazy since it came out, but got rid of the 3 I had to help pay for a
3 month hospital stay:(. But I plan to rectify that with the all black version. But the question asked for a companion to go along with the Adamas, and I would suggest a SAK. I carry a Victoriinox Deluxe Tinker and find it to one of the most handiest knives I have ever carried.

The Tan/Black Skyline can be had through Kershaw Guy on his website for $45. Which is a good price for it considering it was limited and is kind of hard to find.
Another to look at may be the Kershaw Leek in the Tan scales and Black blade with a liner lock.

If you want to stick with the black/tan motif, you can go to Benchmade's website and make a custom Mini-Griptillian. A custom one should run you $125, but if you can find one in the right color elsewhere, it'll be much cheaper.

I appreciate the advice guys(and the thread resurrection, LOL)! But I've found the companion I was looking for. I went with a black blade tan scales full sized Grip. Same opening mechanism and all, so it compliments it well. Thanks again for the suggestions!

Wanted to do that, but didnt have the money, so i went with the kabar dozier in tan/black

Not exact same shade, the adamas is a touch darker, but when you have them next to each other, it still looks nice
