I have a RMD, and I love it but sometimes I miss using another blade:)
So what knife do you guys think could be on the other side of my belt?? :D
p.s.: don't really care if its a larger or a smaller knife. ;)

Small than RMD:
Man... HRLM? I love this blade. Rodent Solution? I don't have one but like the look.

Beyond that, a man needs a good choppah. I'm partial to the 'Weilers.

The cool thing about the RMD is that already is a do-it-all midsized, where if I'm doing two knives it is a small and a large.

I have the RS, not the most stylish blade but VERY nice in the hand and should be a good multi tasker (I will use it dressing smaller deer). I just did a deal for a HRLM as it is so similar (but smaller) than the RMD I figured it would HAVE to be nice... ;)

Too me, the HRLM compliment's the RMD very well. I really like both of these model's. I don't have a Rodent Solution although, I suspect it is also a good one to have especially at the price point.

For EDC, I carry a 5 inch or so on my left, like the RMD and a Scrapivore necker. In the woods, well then I go to a big chopper.

As an avid RMD user and lover I would say get a chopper or machete to pair with it. The RMD is small enough for any small task. Ive cleaned trout with mine before and while its a bit large for the task is still worked great.

Get a big chopper like the rodent 9, M9, Rat Daddy, Rucki, Battle mistress etc... or a Nice machete and pair it with the RMD.

And then for the ultimate setup get an Izula, warden, or scrapivore and attach it to your chopper's sheath and you have ALL the bases covered. Ive personally found this to be the best setup!

Rodent 9 seems like it would be good on the large end. On the small end, I personally just go with a handy folder clipped in my pocket. Either my ZT 0551 or a delica.

Whew, you guys like to carry lots of weight in steel. You could lose the RMD and just carry the small and big knives and have ALL the bases covered.

Yeah, I don't think that I would ever carry a rodent 9 and a RMD at the same time. That seems like overkill to me. Maybe I'd bring both on a trip, but not both on the belt/pack. If I get a Rodent 9, it will be for situations like backpacking where I want to travel light ... it is a big hunk of metal but it would replace a hatchet and medium sized knife like a howling rat. A smaller knife (like a folder or neck nife) with a Rodent 9 seems like a more sensible pairing.
