Will the basic 7 chop as well as the combat 7? The combat 7 is heavier, but, it looks like the weight difference is in the handle.

I've heard that the combat series are more balanced for chopping (I've heard this about the BM vs. the #9 atleast). Also, the SH-E has a 7.5" blade, the basic #7 has a 7" blade (if I remember correctly).
I'm not sure about this (a comparison pic would be great...anyone have one or could take one?), but the combat grade may have wider blades than the basics (not thicker).
