So im thinking about getting a Benchmade Nakamura but i wasn't sure if the more expensive one with the contoured carbon fiber handle and s90v steel was worth an extra 76.50 compared to the G10 handle with m390 steel.

From what I've read, S90V is a premium super steel and is a bit harder than the m390, and is going to have better edge retention and wear resistance, while the m390 is more of an all around performance super steel and will be stronger, less prone to chipping with better corrosion resistance, so they both have their trade offs, although at the ground level when using them for average tasks, most folks won't really notice too much of a difference. You may notice a difference when sharpening as the harder, tougher s90v will possibly be slightly more difficult to sharpen.

At the end of the day I think it really comes down to preference, I went with the 484-1 Nakamura because it looks great, I like Carbon Fiber, I like anodized standoffs and pivot rings, and I wanted the s90v. It's unique looking, and I find myself pulling it out to look at the carbon fiber weaves catching the light all the time, even now after carrying it for a year I don't get tired of pulling it out and just looking at it. Go with whatever one you think you want, either of them will serve you well.

Or,you could go to a certain online seller and get the m390 with the wood handles.got one for Father's Day and it is fantastic.

You seem to have confused strength with toughness

What do you use to sharpen? I like S90V but it can take some time and effort to get a really fine edge on it.
