Comparing the Leaner Meaner to a BAD

Can someone who owns a BAD and Leaner Meaner post a picture of the two side by side. Or if you own a leaner meaner please post the blade length. I want a small thin slicer from Busse but can't decide between a BAD or something similar such as a Leaner Meaner. Would prefer something longer but still thin if it's out there. A NMFBM would work if they were still taking orders:D But no chance of that:( Any thoughts on comparing the two would be great. Also if anyone owns both a Scotch Dispenser I would like some opinions on the grip and feel of that knife. Compare to the other Busse Neck Knife from before if you have both. The handle on the Scotch Dispenser looks uncomfortable but looks can be deceiving. It could be a great knife with a good feel but I can't tell from a photo.

Sorry, I don't have both currently for a pic, but the Leaner Meaner and the BAD are going to be very similiar in perfrmance. I definitely prefer the Meaner/Leaner Meaner line to the Active Duty line, but others have a different assessment.

Here's the deal, a true Leaner Meaner will cost you almost twice as much as a BAD right now. So you are going to have to 1. really want that extra length or 2. really like the more aggressive look of the clip point Leaner.

Leaners are priced for collectibility right now, BADs are priced as users, I would go for the BAD.

The Scotch Dispenser was really uncomfortable for me, but I've heard others say it fit them like a glove. It seems that the SD is a knife that you either love or hate, depending on your hand shape (just guessing, but i think it works well for those with "thick, meaty" hands, but not so great for "thin" hands. Again, that's just a guess, hopefully some others will give you their opinions.)

Blade length of the Meaner is about 4 1/8" tip to scale. About 3 1/2" tip to heel of cutting edge.

Based on O/P, I would get the BAD.

no pics but I have 2 of 3. I am missing the LMS.

I have meaty hands and enjoy my SD as XAMAN stated. Its a nice neck knife tht lays flat and it throws fairly well. THe drawback is that it has to be drawn with the hand based on how its worn. Although, you can flip it quick while wearing if needed by the other hand.

IF your looking for a neck knife the new HACK may fit the bill for the least money.

and if that is what you want I would recommend a .14 GW. I like the rounded butt for ambidextrous use and cause it doesnt stick in your soloplexus.

I have what I'd consider average hands, but I'm 6'2 and 270. The Scotch Dispenser has become one of my favorite Busses, and now feels very comfortable in my hand. I made my own kydex for it, and it fairly jumps into my hand in a comfortable, secure grip. It -did- take some getting used to

I think you might be talking about the Skeleton Key as the other necker. It has a much smaller blade than the Scotch dispenser, but is probably more concealable, and certainly affords a more conventional grip, but it is pretty small for my hands.

I think you might look at the Cultellus as a viable option; they are about the same price as the BAD.

I included the new Shiva Rex, just because it is roughlly the same size, and the Swiss Army Knife for size comparison.
