Hey guys,

here's my youtube review in HD comparing the 3" xm-18 by rick hinderer with the small sebenza 21. No side by side comparisons so far on youtube, so if you're into these knives there should be some nice stuff in there.

It's a 4 parter so depending on if you like it or not, it might take you up to 50 minutes :D

It takes 50 minutes to say the XM-18 is 90 times better than any other production folder out there? :D

That is an extremely bold statement. While I love my XM-18's I don't think that they are 90 times better than any other production folder out there.

Depends on what you're using it for. Still, I find the XM-18 to be far too expensive(at least on the secondary market) to justify using it hard.

From what I've heard it certainly outclasses most folders in the hard use department, but I can't imagine it would replace purpose built tools like a solid fixed blade or an actual pry-bar.

I suppose I might buy one someday if I ever end up obscenely rich, but the price tag keeps me at bay presently.

absolutely. there's a lot of great production knives. I'm a big XM-18 fan, and I've had A LOT of them, but right now the Galyean Pro-Series Lahar is a knife of incredible quality, and CRK too.

There are enough people who own both that think the sebenza is at least on par with the xm-18 for this to be believable ;).
 
Great video, really enjoyed it. Sat through the whole thing in one sitting. But I do have one problem with it.

You've now convinced me I need both of them. My wallet, and my girlfriend will not be happy about this.

Buy a nice small Sebbie for the GF. That way only your wallet will be unhappy.

Ha! Oh i'm absolutely sure she'll be thrilled with that. I can hear it now.

"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH SHOES, CLOTHES, AND MAKEUP I COULD HAVE BOUGHT WITH THAT MONEY INSTEAD???"

Though, I shouldn't complain too much. She seems to like her mini-griptillian just fine. A girl who carries a knife. No wonder i'm in love.

Maybe someday I can get her to the point where she can appreciate the sebenza.
