Hey,
Looking into getting one of these three knives, but can't decide which one to purchase.
If you own any, or all, of these knives please list some pros, and cons and some features that you like.
If there is any other knives close to this price range, and size that you would recommend i'm open to ideas.
Thanks
Mutton

Owned all of them, much prefer the mini grip.

Better steel, better ergos, rides better in pocket, and I prefer the axis lock over the others.

The Tenacious was much bigger in person than I anticipated.

Out of those three I would pick the Mini Grip every time. It features the axis lock and 154cm steel. There are also multiple blade shapes you can choose from.
Another knife you could look at is the Delica 4 which has VG-10 steel and features a back lock.

well if price matters i would say go with the skyline. I have the Damascus version and i love it.
Its really compact and a solid lock up. Zero Blade movement. made of Alabama Damascus Steel. which is really good quality damascus.
you can watch nutnfancy's review of it on youtube(if you haven't seen it, you should go check it out he is a great reviewer) and he highly recommends it. which is one of the main reasons i got one.
if you did get a skyline i would recommend getting the damascus version because i've had no problems with mine.
but thats just my opinion. hope i was of some help!

I've owned all three, and wouldn't class the Mini Grip with the other two. The Tenacious takes up the most room in the pocket. The Skyline rides flat and small in the pocket. But of the three I prefer the Mini Grip. Better steel, rides nearly as small in the pocket as the Skyline, and I'm really a fan of the Axis lock. The opening and closing options with the Axis lock are hard to beat. But the price of the Mini Grip is far from the others.

I only own the tenacious, and if you choose it, it will not disappoint you. Yes it's big, and my hands are small, but it feels great in the hand. Some people don't like the fact that is a liner lock, but it really feels as strong as any frame lock.

I have had the skyline and looked long and hard at the griptilian. I liked the skyline, but for me it was a little light weight. The griptillian just felt "cheap" to me. I know it is loved by many, but the skyline was a much better fit for me. The axis lock is a big bonus over the skyline though.

I have had all three and I agree with above, they are not in the same class. Of the three though the only one I wouldn't buy again is the Mini Grip, I know that goes against popular opinion. The Tenacious and Skyline are both great knives. The Skyline can be had on the big A for $30 right now, that's a steal.

Of the three. I would always choose the tenacious. I think the persistence is close in size to the mini grip and the skyline is just not for me. The tenacious I had was amazing in every aspect for a cost in the upper 30's I loved the design. The steel also held a good edge and was easy to get dangerously sharp. My god I never had a knife bite me and so many people from use and fumbling. Nothing serious, but a razor quality was easy to accomplish.
The mini grip is just a bit small for me although a rock solid knife with good steel but far more expensive than the Spyderco.

I've owned a Tenacious and carried one for 4 years and I've owned 4 mini-grips and carry one every day to this day.

I choose the mini-grip. Smaller, lighter, I prefer the steel on any mini-grip over the Tenacious and the mini-grip has an axis lock.

I second Delica 4 :) Both my Tenacious and Mini Grip sit in the boxes while I carry one of the Delicas or similar Spyderco.

Out of these three, Tenacious for me, though it does ride high in the pocket, and this is why it stays home.

Never cared for flipper on Skyline, so never owned one.

Mini grip feels too small, and I don't even have big hands. It is basically a shrunk Griptilian, not a knife designed to be a 3" knife.

You preferences may be different.

Of the three, the Mini Grip gets carried the most. I like it the best for all of the reasons previously stated.

The Delica is getting more-n-more pocket time than my Skylines and Natives. The Mini Grip is nice but going away as a gift.

Skyline is very sweet but the Delica is even sweeter. Especially since they are ~40% cheaper than the Mini Grip.

Of the three you mentioned I would take the Mini Grip. I have two. However, I prefer the Spyderco Delica. The steels are equal but the ergos on the Delica are superior. Plus, if the lock fails, the Delica will not cut your finger if the knife is held normally. The Mini Grip and Skyline will.

Those are all pretty different knives. As some others have suggested, I'd skip the Tenacious and look at the Delica instead. Between the Mini-Grip, Skyline, and Delica, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of those. They are all excellent knives.

Some thoughts on those four...
- Mini-Griptilian - fairly compact (comfortable in pocket, although the rounded handles will add some thickness), Axis lock is awesome, good "fun" factor (Axis lock), different blade shape options (drop point, sheepsfoot, tanto), good steel (154CM), deep carry option w/ Contego/Adamas clip (contact Benchmade to request such a clip)
- Skyline - very thin and light (practically disappears in pocket), high hollow grind and thin blade stock makes for an excellent slicer, good "fun" factor (addictive to flip open and closed), nice grippy G10 handles (not too aggressively textured), good and easy-to-maintain steel (14C28N)
- Tenacious - I wouldn't recommend this one
- Delica - fairly thin and light (carries comfortably in pocket, although the blade profile makes this a bit wider in pocket), great ergos, good utilitarian design (not as much "fun" factor though), great FRN handles (volcano texture), good steel (VG10)
