both are Chris Reeve inspired liner lock knives. I have a Southard and love it. How does the Sage 2 compare?

The Ti R.I.L. is about the only similarity as far as I am concerned. The Sage can feel a bit wide (like many Spyderco's due to the opening hole), the Southard is narrow feeling. The Sage has a full size handle, but is limited to a 3" blade. The Southard packs as much blade in that handle as possible. Flipper vs. non-flipper. Way better clip on the Sage.

To edit the title, click "Edit Post", then click "Go Advanced". Yes, they are both fitted with Reeve Integral Locks, and both solid from my experience. Is there something specific you a wnting to know?

Looking more for a reason to buy, I guess. I love the Southard, and I'm sure I would enjoy the Sage as well.

It is a good one to own. I enjoy mine. The wire clip and smooth Ti makes it a nice knife to carry, and it is a good all around knife.
