Anyone have both who can post a comparison? No choil versions of both would be even better but I'll take what I can get. I am favoring knives in this size range because they are so easy to carry. The TB is pretty beefy and I think there is a huge difference in mass even though the lengths are similar.

Thanks!

Hey Dunner, good to see you! I think you'll be VERY pleased with this one. Currently this is my only fixed blade (though I just ordered another of these) and I haven't felt under-knifed, yet.

This is the only pic I've found of a Boss Jack with any Tac handled knife. Appears to be a badger. But at least you can compare the two handles. :)

I did not have them at the same time, so I can't do any direct comparisons, but I do have a couple of photo's of each, including them next to two iterations of the boss street. Personally I prefer the boss jack, and I have no real reservations in saying so.

The boss jacks handle is slimmer and has more versatility, including a more comfortable pulled back grip for chopping. The TAC handles have pretty severe swells in the center that bite into my hand. Both knives are way over built with EXTREMELY thick edges, like way overkill, but the boss jack manages to come off as a little mor reasonable. To my hand, it feels like the difference between the basic 11 and the FFBM. The basic 11 is lean and blade heavy but relatively lightweight for the amount of chopping power you get out of it. opposite of that is the fat fusion battle mistress that feels super heavy for it's size and doesn't really get you as much chopping power as you'd expect out of the weight.

It's also like comparing the DSF to a NMSFNO. If you can take a package and slim it down, it will feel faster in the hand without sacrificing chopping ability. It will feel more compact and streamlined.

Did I mention the tank buster is extremely overbuilt? This is next to the tip of a mini sus scrofa.

The tank buster blade is even bigger and heavier than the SJTac in this picture, but the length is pretty similar and the handle is the same if that helps.

Hi Last Visible Canary.

In this post, the third pic down, what are these two knives? The one at the top is a Boss jack I think, but what about the one under it? It looks like just the size and shape I'm looking for at the moment. Busse seem to only be selling the Boss Jack on their website at the moment.

I think I may have attached it to this message above. Anyone know what the bottom knife pictured is?

Cheers! NT Tristan.

I am pretty sure it is a modified SAR 5

It's a custom shop modified sar5, where I redid the scales and ground off 1/2" of pommel. If you took the scales off, everything ahead of the last tang hole is pure custom shop.
