COMPARISON REQUEST: BK9 Vs. Junglas Vs. Boomslang Vs. Machaxe

I would LOVE to see these four side by side in a chopping contest

i'm pretty sure the boomslang would take that contest, but you never know until you go...

I have the Boomslang... my 9 isn't here yet, don't think i have much reason to buy a junglas and i won't likely get a machaxe at all..

i have a 9 and a boomer... i'm trying to decide if there's any reason to buy a machaxe or junglas other than my normal "it's sharp, so it belongs in my closet" reason

I have a BK9, Junglas and a few BK4's, but no Boomslang. Cool looking blade, but just never been around one. Maybe in May.

True but in my experience if you hit a hard knot it will mess up the edge pretty good but a Junglas sails right through without any damage.

I have Junglas, ESEE Light Machete, and BK9. IMO Light ,machete is best for soft wood and knot free hard wood, Junglas is best for hard wood that might have knots, BK9 can't be beat for when I want something shorter and lighter.

Thats because the blade is made by Imacasa in El Salvador....just like my BHK Machete. Boo-Yaah!!

I love my BK9 but I think a Boomslang could take him, sorry Heads but the shear size and blade design are more 'chopper' than the bk9. As for the other two I'm not sure. I would assume the Machax would beet the Bk9 but the Junglas would probably be its equal But making a machax battle a bk9 would be like having a larger and smaller brother fight each other...not nice I think a more size and style appropriate competition would be to have a Machax vs TOPS Hellion vs Condor's Pack Golok vs.TOPS Cuma TAK vs. Ontario SP51
I know thats a big line up but it would be one hell of a fight

That Hellion is a nice looking blade...not sure on about the sawteeth serrations though.

The Boomslang HAS been chop tested next to a 9 here....It didn't win. But whatever floats your boat.

Everytime I see "Boomslang" it brings to mind that Tosh.0 "d*ck slang" segment...
