The Camp Nessie is quickly becoming a favorite of mine due to the super comfortable handle. I've been somewhat cool on the Sneaky Pete so far, but I keep hearing about how awesome the handle on it is.

So, here's a comparions request. If you have both a Camp Nessie and a SP, or a Big Sneaky Pete, lets see how they compare up and maybe I'll finally bite the bullet.

Thurin, I'm on a call right now, but I'll get one up later for you of both the SP, Asp, and camp nessie (for reference). Yes, the handles are that good; I was doing some light wood work yesterday with both my Asp and SP -- as expected they were super comfortable!

Thanks wjt.

Another question: what makes it so comfortable compared to others? Is it the general shape? The quasi thumb ramp? etc.

Precisely, the handle (in my opinion) sits anatomically better in the hand -- the thumb ramp is nice for mid-duty push cutting as well since it lends a bit more more control. I have some older Henckel's 5-stars that I use in the kitchen along with my French high carbon stuff -- the handles on the Henckles are very similar to the SP design. Apparently they (Zwellig Henckles) had a fair bit of science behind the design as well, with regards to strain relief. So with the two designs being so similar, I would imagine that most of the same anatomic features would apply.

The sneaky Pete handle is really nice because it is wider spine to edge than most of the other designs. Take a bushfinger for example, a bf and a sp of the same handle configuration, the sp will be more hand filling. = more comfortable and less fatiguing ( to me)

I've definitely got a Camp Nessie in my cross hairs for the near future. Just gotta find one, or shark one.

Bit of a rare beast, but I'm sure one will surface soon! I'm pretty obsessed with mine and want to run a two-muk nessmuk trio this spring; in 3/16 its quite impressive!

Thanks wjt!!!

Exactly what I'm looking for.

They look pretty close in height and shape. Guess I'll have to try one now.
