I'm not trying to start a war here but I was wondering.....I have a HI kukri but no experiance with GH.Can I expect equal performance from a GH? I'm looking for another kukri and only want sound advise,no politics here please.

WAS,

Check out some of the comparisons made by Cliff Stamp and Will Kwan, both veteran khuk users and reviewers. No politics.

Sing directed you to the best source of non-political, fact-based comparisons available. Keep in mind two things (often ignored):

1) The date that the tests were performed
2) The weight and size of the khukuris tested.

Other than that, it's refreshing to see another knife knut (like most of us knuts here) looking for non-politics (politics doesn't cause a knife to cut better, as far as I know

). Good knives to good people - that's all I care about.

WAS, I've been into khuks only a couple of months, and during that time I've been a customer of both GH and HI. Based on my own experience, I truly believe that in that amount of time the quality of GH khuks has improved significantly. The first khuks I bought from Craig were OK (certainly worth their selling price) but those I've most recently gotten are outstanding. I almost think that it is unfair to use the old tests to judge GH khuks because the overall quality has improved so much since the tests were done. It would be most interesting to see a new battery of tests done using current offerings from both sellers.

Thanks Steven, Ive already ordered a GH Khuk. I got in on the Bhojpure blowout. Now I feel even better about taking the opportunity.

Was: Your khukuri is on the way (the only wood handled bhojpure, if my memory serves me). You won't be dissapointed.

I think that once the AKs come in and I get a chance to work out with one or two, I'll send one off to Cliff for yet another beating! (For those of you who don't know, to "Cliff" something means to push that thing to its limits, no holds barred)

Craig,
Got my khukrie today!! I love it! The handle is larger than my HI and wow its perfect! I cant wait to hit something with this thing. It has that special energy that screams to be used.

Thank You
Bill

I got the horn handle. It feels great.I tore up a pallet with it at work tonight(could'nt wait till I hit the woods).I'm really impressed with your product. By the way any decision on the kit blades? I'd love to get to do 1.

Was4u: I'll pass along your post to Nepal. They're the ones to "blame"

for the good product.

I've destroyed many a pallet too. Lots of fun.

Yes, I'll definitely order some kit blades in January. There'll be enough to go around, so no need to register for one. I think they'll be a hit.
