Never made a HT thread, thought it would be funny.

Went out to chop at my log a couple days ago and found this little guy:

My initial instinct was pull it out, then I thought, hell, if he was lucky enough to make it and thrive up there, maybe I should give him a chance. I'm not saying I'm going to chop around it or avoid it in any way, but for the first time in my life I think I consciously decided to show compassion towards another living thing purely for the sake of it.

Baby steps :)
 
Funny how we find the most philosophical things, in the most random of places..... Let it grow, study its habits......
 
Right on. It is cool to see how the cycle of growth continues despite the environment :thumbup:


Edited out the humor for the sake of the conversation. Those moments that make you stop and think are really cool :)

I personally don't like using gasoline as an accelerant, it's too explosive. I need to find out what they use for movie gasoline...

Conversation? :) I really wasn't trying to get too deep, I just thought it was funny that the tree hugging hippie in me came out for a second (I'm a world class exterminator and have ended countless millions of lives).

Cool :D I was going to say that while you were having your hippie moment, I was busy murdering dozens of little pine trees with my NMFSH yesterday lol. More will perish for the sake of progress as they are on property lots that I'm cleaning up for work.
