Compatibility of G-10 and Blue Loctite???

Title says it. I have a Spyderco that I switched to tip up carry and the screws will not stay tight. The clip wiggles back and forth a bit. It is only threaded into the G-10 though and I don't want to strip the holes. I got them snug the other night but 24 hrs later they loosened up a bit(clip wiggle) As the title says will loctite(blue) work or will it corrode the G-10. I asked at the Spydie forum but have not gotten too much help. Who better to ask then knifemakers. Thanks and Take Care!!!

I don't think it will hurt the G10 but I sure wouldn't want it hanging off my belt with only the scale tapped. If I were doing it and there were no other way, I would drill and tap a very small plate and inlet it into the G10 using epoxy.

A good way to test the loctite is put a very small amount behind the clip to test for a reaction.

Thank you Peter. Yes unfortunately the old Bob T Spydercos had only the G-10 tapped for clip attachment. I have some G-10 for making a handle so I guess I could try it on that piece. Would save messing up the Bob T.
