Here some pics of my stripped HHFSH

I tried to get an as good as possible "competition finish" look.

This config now chops even better:D

After stripping the coating I used scotchbrite pads to clean up the INFI. I already did the polished spine a few months ago.
Then some coarse sandpaper to get the vertical structure from spine to edge. To finish I used a German made "AX-O blanc Schleifblock" from Artifex. These blocks are rather soft with a scourching compound of some kind. This will get you a bit of the satiny finish. I don't know if these schleifblocks are for sale in the US.
 
Awesome crafft! I've got a HH I've been pondering doing that to, would match my comp finish sarsquatch very nicely. Good work.

That looks good, Crafft. I really like the satin to dimpled progression. Makes the knife look like it's a mean tool with a pretty side.
 
WOW..I like that alot. I knew I should have stripped one when I had it..
