Competition knife=Competition??

I am going to sell it. Screw getting my arm chopped off.

Ok, then I guess there would not be much interest in an ad-hoc cutting contest at the guild meeting...

Not saying that going up against you in any event where sharp steel is concerned is a good idea, but I thought it was worth asking.

I will tell you that for me it is just too risky. I'm in butterfly bandages again this week. I suck at using knives it seems. Lately I'm all cut up.

I have been reasonably lucky with sharp edges lately, (sound of knocking on wood in the background) but I am in the healing process over some stupid grinder accidents. I always seem to need to be reminded not to touch the 36grit ceramic when it is moving! Ok, I will kill the idea of a cutting competition.

Ouch! I feel your pain. A few years ago, I got my hand caught in a portable belt sander when I didn't clamp it in the vise firm enough. Took off all the layers of skin, needless to say. That was back in the day Andy sold blanks. My HB got finished and now I never will part with it! Some of it may have to do with the injury.....
