Nice to see someone still designing their own competition blade - looks real good.

Very clean! What type of rubber is that handle, it looks very smooth.

Very nice. I always liked making my own comp. knives and this is better than most, especially with the hidden tang handle design - which I believe to make a superior handle in the competitions. I love the guard (most comp knives don't have guards) with the upper lanyard hole. And, Ben, I believe that handle is horse-stall mat.

Good luck this season.

It isn't horse stall mat, it is from a solid block of rubber. I think horse stall mat is made of bits of rubber with an open surface.
I tested this knife to approve it to be used in our Bladesports competition and performed really well.

A solid block of rubber would be the best way to go. Yeah, sometimes the horse-stall mat can be a little crumbly. Very cool. I know this isn't Shop Talk here, but where would one go about purchasing a similar block of solid rubber like this?

Great Looking knife! There are some cool design aspects that make it stand out. Glade to hear you've tested it. It make all the difference, tasting designs in the real vs. virtual world. Nothing gives you more feed back that putting a knife through it's paces.

Nicely done!

It DOES look like it would perform VERY well. Watching the cutting competition at Blade I found to be exciting! Looking at the competitors blades was interesting as well.
