For those of you that have thrown in competition,
What are you throwing at? Cards,String, or what?
And how do you score?
I don't want to go and not know what to expect.
Thanks Doug

Bobby I'm going to jump in if you don't mind...

Competitive scoring depends on the event you are attending. Events fall into two general catagories, that of contemporary events and those of historical reenactment events.

Most contemporary events use a concentric ring target with either a 1/2/3 or 1/3/5 point scheme for scoring. Historical events, such as rendevous will generally use a playing card with a 1/2/3 scoring scheme for a wood stick, card cut, and card pierce. Distances vary from event to event.

I am currently putting the final touches on a thrower's manual which details all the rules and criteria for the most currently popular competitive events. I hope to have it done by 1st Qtr next year.

You can also contact me offline for more details.
