In response to recent complaints on the forum, and due to my own curiosity, I thought it might be fun to list the models that we know derive from military orders (AKA "Overruns"), I guess a second category would be civilian models sold to units with special colors and/or logos ("Specials").

Anyone with additions to this tally, add them in this thread and I will append them to my list below. Pictures are welcome, but not needed. Maybe this can become a pseudo-sticky?

Overruns:

EU-17
SOUL1
ST-56
BARF
Taliwhacker
Ruck Kensai
Mini Sus Scrofa
SMOG Warden
Mud Razor
Muddy AD
Muddy MrS
Sage AD
Sage MrS
EH3 Mini-Mojo
Terror Monkey
Jungle Anorexic Badger Attack

Specials:

AT2 Ratchet

Nevermind. Greg's list is already in play. Go here: http://www.bussecollector.com/gpage.html2.html and scroll down to Military Overrun Knives

Don't forget the Yellow GW, that was for a Sar team I believe. I will look at the old posts when I get a chance.

SMOG Wardens

The Mini Sus Scrofa is not an overrun, it is just the first time it has been available to civilians, and it is a regular production item.

I'm afraid that I cannot accept the existance of any of these knives or their use by anyone, military or otherwise, until I have handled them personally.

Therefore, as my opinion on the matter is of paramount importance, it will be necessary for me to receive at least one of each of the aforementioned knives.

I will then test their authenticity and, if you are lucky, I will provide photographic evidence of their abuse.

I regret that I may not be able to return the knives due to export restrictions currently in effect at my English Castle which forbid infi steel to leave.

Please PM me for my address to where you may ship the knives.

Rick.

I can't find the original posts, but I believe the Ripper and ST Ripper were Mil. Over-runs. Nevertheless, I would like a squads-worth of the ST Rippers.

I'm not sure about this, but was the Desert Anorexic Badger Attack (DABA) a mil-overrun?

There was also the Mole Jack. . .

I don't recall that the Mole Jack was a military piece. It was designed for expeditions to the center of the earth, thus the special high temp resistant black coating, and the special edge to dispatch the Mole Men.

Plus the Lil' Ugly, the Buffalo Soldier, the Air Rescue Knife, the Desert NO's....
