I have both the RMD (3 of them) and a limited edition BATAC.

In my mind the RMD is a much better design, with good proportions, good weight balance and great design, while the BATAC is heavy, bulky, thick and unwieldy. In fact of the 60 or so knives I own or have handled, I would consider the RMD one of the best outdoor survival knives ever produced.

I only have 1. I'd like some more. Nice knife, good size, weight, balance. The choil *works*. If only the "hump" on the back was more of a flat-top mesa, the knife would be nigh perfect. Well that and if I had more of them.

Well....you just described the idea behind a LE Busse. Big, thick, and heavy with a purty finish.

The CG BATAC is none of these.

I really like the OD/Tan one... Really... I wish I had picked one up at Blade in June. I was going to, but had to leave and forgot...
