So after five attempts, I was able to complete my first sheath. I think it came out pretty good, but it has a few mistakes.

Yes, but not from this one. On some of my earlier pieces, when I wet it to slick it, it transfers the dye easily. I use the Fiebings Oxblood Leather dye. I don't like how it transfers. I had to treat the leather afterwards with Neetsfeet oil and then Eco-Flo Super Sheen. I really hope it doesn't happen every time it gets wet.Looks pretty darn god to me! Nice job. One of the two main reasons I won't dye leather. Ya can get dye transfer years later. Sealing the dyed item only mitigates it so much. There are drum dyed veg tan leathers directly from the tannery (Wicket and Craig, Herman Oak), that really help with this, Plus the dye is all the way through the leather not just on the surface. There are a couple places that sell this leather by the foot so ya don't have to buy a whole side.Yes, but not from this one.
