I was just thinking...
Every Newby asks the "What is the best First Khukri?"

Well, here is some food for thought. What is the most Complicated Khukri? (and no it cannot be "the one your wife owns")

I know that by design a Khukri is not complicated, and I would tell anyone that "the best khukri is the one you like".

As always I am curious as to what answers I will get, and where this thread will go.

I think the fullered Khuks or maybe the Kothimoras.

Mr Powell will be able to answer this best I think !!

:)

tin chirra, hanshee-style

Do you mean the most complex Khuk to use or make? In terms of esoterica in the HI line, the Mala is very seldom mentioned, the 18th century even less so (if it's even in stock - I don't know how up to date the shopping site is.)

and with your "complex khukris," you've given a ton of folks a "Khukri Complex.":D

Well, Sanu's Falcata is pretty much an expert level khuk, and one of the most difficult to make.

I'd say any of the small khuks (12-15 inch) are beginner khuks. when you get to 18-21, those are intermediate, requiring more user control, and the 24-30 inchers are expert level khiks. An newbie to big blades could cause serious self-injury with these, and they require the utmoost inn cautious and controlled use.

I'll bet that khuk Uncle has is so special the dust bunnies will keep it !!

hehe

:D

Are they being moved to Titanic II? Do they have to move themselves? Did Bill and Yangdu even consult with them about the relocation?

Are they homeless now, wandering through the streets of Reno, hiding from strong winds, huddled in corners, reminiscing about the special khuks they had hidden over the years...secreted in Dust Bunnie hiding spots in Titanic I?

Poor things.

I think SamuraiDave is right, "the best khukri is the one you like".

Never trust a dust-bunny for the right answer....

I vote for Ashley (and her sister)! Maybe not the most complex construction. ... but dayum the engraving was cool. Miss her. ...

Second goes to the YCS! Fullered blade, curvy, inlaid handle, special kardas, awl. ... okay, maybe it's a complex khukhri system :)

Sounds like a short move, I bet they just migrate on over with the khuks...

If things were getting packed up for a really long trip, then of course, different arrangements would have to be made. Like put a few kagnes katnes in a clean canister of a shop vac, suck 'em up, then blow them out at the final destination.:)

Hey Alan,
If you want Ashley back all you got to do is come up with the doe(...or is it "doh" in this forum? I forget.;) )
I am "Just holding her for awhile." as I previously said.
(I wont sell her to anybody else.)

I have her older sister for awhile... They are both absolutely gorgous.
You do professional photography right? Maybe I should ship both of them up to you for awhile so that you can fill the Forum full of blood lust at our catch.
(Now, if they only made women this perfect (sigh)) (Place smiley face for lust here -> <- )

Furry scabbard... he he...

:D :p HEE!

I just might be in touch before Xmas has gone bye. ... I have to wait to see if I get a raise first. :D

Sorry, can't do the photos, or at least not as well as I could have before. The studio (what's left) is packed away in a storage unit up in Spearfish. :barf:

Alan

Where are you now?

I took both of the sisters out last night and gawked at them. The only way that I can tell the difference between the two is

A. Their scabbards, Jewels is furry, and Ashleys is well shaven
B. The small gaps near their butt... made by the gradual shrinkage of scales away from their charwa tangs.

:p :p :p
