Like the title says. Any ideas? Would like it to have the same quality that my SAK has if possible...

Are you looking for a tool with implements that the Spirit does not have, or just another tool to hold the nut while you tighten the bolt with the Spirit?

The Spirit has most of the bases covered when it comes to implements. Most other MTs have the same or less to offer. What else would you find useful? I carry a SAK waiter so I have the corkscrew, a spare blade, toothpick, tweezers and that tiny screwdriver that fits in the corkscrew. I also sometimes grab a 6" adjustable wrench to compliment my Swisstool. The Spirit scissors are small, ...for a while I carried a "Slip-n-Snip"... or a Leatherman Micra, or SAK with bigger scissors. If you do telecom work, the Paladin tools have punchdown blades and 1/4" socket driver blades (they are made by SOG, so you can customize them with spare blades from SOG's parts store) There's the Leatherman Crunch if you need a "vice-grips" (Gerber has a "Vice-grip" type tool too, but bigger and not as nice as the Crunch IMO) The Spyderench or ByrdRench would be about the furthest from the Spirit you could get in a MT, and might be a good complement, but I have not yet found the need to carry 2 MTs at once so I have not tried that combination

Ya you have alot of tools already with the spirit. I would probably chose a vic explorer if it were me. You get tweezer, toothpick, magnifying glass etc. Or maybe a model like the compact with plus scales that has the pen. It really depends on your needs.

Yea that was one of the problems I was finding. The spirit is too good lol. Basically what I really want is a DIY multitool kit that can handle pretty much any task I can find, whether it be fixing stuff at home, building things or whatever (I know its all rather vague). Problem is, the spirit already does that well enough... Hmm I think my is problem is I just wanna buy more stuff ^_^

As a complementary I would suggest a Leatherman Style CS. It supplies a more usable scissors than that small mouthed dinky Vic put on the Spirit, nail file and tweezer. The small blade might also be more practical than the "cheese spreader" for some purposes, like opening mail or packages. Although I consider the Sprit blade really good for most utility chores, it is not suitable for everything.

Bamahabir,
I'm looking forwar to receiving my new swisstool plus in a few days. I plan to carry a small prybar and flashlight with mine. In addition, I always have some kind of traditional slipjoint in my pocket. Let us know what you decide to pair with your Spirit!

If you're carrying a Spirit, and I assume a dedicated folder, not certain what else you could add to the mix that isn't being address (aside from a flashlight).

Can't really decide on a particular MT, but I'm gonna start with a basic set of allen wrenches, and a bit kit.

PocketEdge how are you liking the swisstool?
