Composit pocket clips, your thoughts, pics inside

I have seen a few makers use G10/Carbon Fiber/Micarta pocket clips on folders in the past and I always wondered how strong they were. I finally made one and stuck it on my new Scrapper that I plan to carry and use for awhile. I actually tapped into the G10 and attached the clip the same way I do on my Ti and Timascus clips. Its still snug in my pocket but just a hair lighter than the tension I use on my Ti clip. As an end user what do you guys think about clips made from these materials? Have you ever had a folder with a composite clip on it, how did you like it? Second clip I did has the screws going through the G10 and into a piece of Timascus.
Thanks
Matt

Those look pretty cool. I've bent enough steel clips, that I probably wouldn't trust one though :grumpy: They might be a lot stronger than I think, steel can be bent back in place though :)
I also wonder how they would hold up to being dropped

I like the idea of non-metallic clips...seems like I inevitably scratch my car or ding something up when I walk by with a knife in my pocket.

You make amazing looking knives, sir.
:)

I think you would be suprised at how strong G10 actually is. There is plenty of material there to take daily use. Just my .02
